SUNSET SURFING LEAGUE
ALLSTAR CHAMPIONSHIPS
The beginning of October through mid December, one on one surf matches are run early in the morning before school starts. At the end of the season, the Sunset Surfing League had a new champion; the Edison Chargers. It has been over 20 years since the Huntington Oilers surf team have not taken the league title, congratulations coach Zoran Forgiarini and the Edison Chargers Surf Team. On December 10, 2008 high school surf teams participating in the Sunset Surfing League put forth their best surfers; their Allstars to compete in the Sunset Surfing League Allstar Championships. In glassy waist high to shoulder high right and left peelers these competitors surfed brilliantly to make it to the finals.
